As part of our intergenerational work, we have been collating the views of the full range of stakeholders impacted by bringing young children and older people together in more structured and systematically planned activities.

We have also been considering how pre-school provision located in the heart of a older people’s care village could support care professionals with their own child care arrangements. As part of this, we have conducted a survey of over 200 care professionals working for Belong Care Villages across the North of England. The results demonstrate overwhelming support for the concept of co-located services and also the enthusiasm for childcare provision that meets the needs of the caring profession in terms of shift patterns and weekend working.
This is a valuable piece of research. We hope you find it interesting. Please contact us if you would like to know more about our intergenerational work or would like to share your associated findings. We look forward to hearing from you!
