We bring together a team of highly experienced early years and social policy leaders. It blends international expertise in early years practice, policy and influence, as well as practical, validated and ongoing intergenerational research and learning. Individual members also have a proven track record in operating high quality early years environments, rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
The charity’s vision is to make a difference to lifelong learning and care by becoming a leading provider of intergenerational practice and provision, and a leading edge active research and professional development organisation for intergenerational services. It operates direct childcare services to nursery children and their families, alongside shared, integrated and meaningful learning and enrichment activities for older adults and children, learning and living together.
A further dimension of Ready Generations’ work includes advocacy, advice and information to other intergenerational providers and professional development to the care and education sectors. This work is underpinned by direct national and international research, evaluation and the dissemination of evidence-based practice, through partnerships with specifically selected and world renowned universities.
