Week two of our intergenerational nursery photo diary and it’s all about the senses!

We have been working with the wonderful garden designer, Carolyn Hardern to finish designs for the nursery garden and think about how these link with the care village outdoor spaces.

A major connecting theme has been consideration of the importance of sensory experiences for both children and older people.

Throughout our lives our five senses are important in helping us to communicate, take part in things and simply enjoy the pleasures of life. Helping older people to engage in experiences and activities that use their senses is worthwhile and rewarding. Read our blog about the symbolic and emotional relevance of our senses below.
