Our Intergenerational Nursery
Owned and operated by Ready Generations, our award winning intergenerational nursery is located within Belong Chester Care Village. Working in partnership with Belong we have integrated the Nursery into the heart of the Village which is home to over seventy-five older people. The Nursery day is designed to bring young children and older people together through intergenerational invitations, opportunities and experiences. These are planned using our bespoke Mirrored Care and Learning Framework.

Intergenerational Pedagogy
Bringing generations together to increase social connectedness, enhance well-being and improve learning is a strategy that is receiving increased attention and interest globally.
Our intergenerational Nursery is unique in that it has been intentionally designed to provide care, learning and connection to multiple generations and to foster warm and nurturing cross-age relationships. Children and residents interact in planned intergenerational experiences, as well as through the informal and spontaneous encounters and adventures that come from living alongside each other.
